  1. Welcome.

  2. cylc-7.8.1 user experience and 7.8.2 time scale. (< 5 minutes)

  3. Progress on Cylc 8 activities (20 minutes?):
    • Isodatetime 2to3 and PyPI packaging - Done!
    • Cylc 2to3, CherryPy suite server to 0MQ. (Oliver, in progress)
    • rose suite-run to Cylc (Matt, in progress)
    • MO team will meet with in-house IT architect on Cylc 8 in March.
    • JupyterHub investigation (Martin, in progress?)
    • UI server + vue.js (Bruno, in progress?)
    • UI data model (David S, in progress?)
  4. Rose:
    • Standalone utilities 2to3. (Tim, WIP PR)
    • Rosie Discovery 2to3 + CherryPy to Tornado. (Sadie, WIP PR)
  5. Who does what next? (20 minutes?)
    • Review.
    • Complete 2to3 port - towards a fully functional system (w/o the GUIs).
    • Packaging for PyPI? Conda? Docker? Alien spaceship? (Bruno + Matt?)
    • Continue porting to Python 3 technology, e.g. asyncio. (MO team?)
    • Cylc Review CherryPy to Tornado. (Sadie?)
    • UI server + UI data model? (NIWA team + Oliver?)
    • UI server under JupyterHub? (Martin + ?)
